Here's a photo of us setting off from the Portland train station to visit our sisters in Washington. We cut our hair short in preparation for the trip. We'll be living out of those two little backpacks for the next 5 months. I didn't get a final weight, but think our stuff comes to around 30-35 pounds between us.

It's Tomorrow!
We are right about over the International Date Line as I type this, about halfway from LAX to Seoul. I'm excited to finally be on our way after a hectic 10 days visiting family and making last minute preparations. Not surprisingly I'm also having some trouble getting comfortable and sleeping.

you packing skills are amazing to me. i am in hawaii for the winter (3 months) and my baggage was about 50 pounds for one. of coarse, i am settled into one place (Kihei, Maui) and laying back enjoying my leisure.
ReplyDeletei wish you good luck - traveling when you young is good.
thanks for the blog
